Host an event

Thank you for your interest in hosting a Hoops of Hope event.  Our goal is to make your Hoops of Hope event successful and impactful in the lives of your participants.  On this page, you will find most of what you need to host an event.  We'll provide templates, tools and even t-shirts for your event day.  Here's what you need to do to get started:

1.  Send us an email to host@hoopsofhope.org and tell us the following:

  • Your name, contact number and email address
  • Desired location of event (city, state and gym if you have one)
  • Are you affiliated with a team, school, church?
  • When would you like to host your Hoops of Hope event? (Please choose one of the National Hoops of Hope dates, or chose your own date)
  • Expected number of participants

2.  Pick a date and reserve a facility

3.  Create a personal fundraising page so people can sponsor you online -

Click www.firstgiving.com/hoopsofhope2008 and select "Get Started"

4.  Invite other participants to join your event and have them create their own fundraising pages

5.  Four weeks before your event, let us know how many t-shirts you will need by sending us the T-Shirt Order Form
